A Morris Park man who was arrested and accused of raping a prostitute may have a long history of abuse against ladies of the night. Michael Fishbein is on trial for the alleged torture, beating and rape of a 27-year-old prostitute at the end of last month. When she met him at his apartment at 837 Neill Avenue, he held a box cutter to her and allegedly said, “You’re not leaving. You’re going to take your clothes off or I’m going to cut them off. I’ll kill you.”
Fishbein allegedly held her hostage at knifepoint, forcing her to undress before subjecting her to torture over several hours in the early morning of January 21st. After an investigation, police now believe Fishbein fixates on prostitutes: “This is not the first time he has been accused of raping a prostitute in that apartment. He is a menace to that particular house. He calls prostitutes to come to his apartment all of the time and he always refuses to pay them,” said Officer Victor DiPiero of the Community Affairs Unit at the 49th Precinct.
