An under-16 girls AAU basketball tournament at Fordham University turned violent on Sunday, as coaches and players erupted in a brawl befitting the title of the tournament: "Rumble In The Bronx." After the Lady Gauchos defeated the Exodus Swagga, Swagga coach Lenair Young struck her counterpart for "cursing Exodus players," witnesses told the Post. A forward for Exodus was then struck by the Gauchos' coach until she hit the floor: "I don't know if I was unconscious, but at one point, I could not get off the floor."

Young denies hitting anyone, saying "at no point did I ever put my hand on a kid." But hey, at some point these kids have to learn about physical play, and a right hook does wonders for your jump shot (and your career!) Though the NYPD claims to have not received any complaints regarding the fight, a player's father tells the paper that she'll be pressing charges against Young. Both coaches were forbidden to participate in next year's tournament, which to avoid this year's outcome should be named "A Polite Display Of Sportsmanship In The Bronx."

Video of the brawl that broke out at the Rumble has yet to surface, so this will have to do for now:
