The latest dose of scandal served up to Alex Rodriguez in what has already been a long year comes from Kirstin Davis, who claims that she knew the slugger "personally and professionally" over the years. Friends and associates of the madam, who has claimed that Eliot Spitzer was once a client, say that the slugger pursued her with zeal while also taking advantage of the services of women who worked for her as a client.
A friend of Davis's tells the News that the two originally crossed paths in a Philadelphia gym in 2006 and the then-married superstar had asked her out immediately. Davis declined, but set A-Rod up with her agency, where two former workers say he met up with prostitutes over a half-dozen times. Davis apparently did not realize Rodriguez's notoriety upon first meeting him and was made aware of it by one of the women on her roster who recognized him immediately and was the daughter of an MLB employee.
Today's Daily News publishes quotes from alleged email exchanges between the two including Rodriguez responding to one of the madam's many playful brush-offs as he continually asked her out, only to be sent pictures of Davis and encouragement from her to try harder. A-Rod wrote, "I definitely will and I love the pics. I put the one on my cell so I can look at you all the time." The two apparently grew so close that Rodriguez even shared with her the secret of his steroid-using past.
Davis is currently on probation for five years after copping a plea to promoting prostitution and is preparing to release a tell-all book on the "naghty exploits of the powerful and famous."
