A 74-year-old man died after he was struck by two drivers while walking across Manhattan’s FDR Drive on Wednesday night, police said Thursday.

NYPD officials said Derek Coker was crossing the highway from west to east near the East Houston Street exit near the Lower East Side around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Coker was hit in the left northbound lane by the driver of a 2025 black Chevrolet SUV, and was then hit in the middle lane by the driver of a 2024 silver Mitsubishi sedan, according to police.

Officials said the 55-year-old man driving the Chevrolet and 55-year-old woman driving the Mitsubishi both stayed at the scene.

First responders took Coker to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police did not make any immediate arrests in the case.
