Four people, including two teens, were shot in a park in Harlem early Sunday morning, NYPD officials said.
Police said officers responded to a 911 call around 1:15 a.m. Sunday and found multiple people with gunshot wounds at the intersection of West 143rd Street and Lenox Avenue, the entrance to the Brigadier General Charles Young Playground.
Both teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, had been shot in their feet, police said. A 20-year-old had been shot in the groin and a 21-year-old had been shot in the leg, according to police.
EMS transported the four victims to Harlem Hospital and all were in stable condition as of Sunday morning, according to the NYPD.
Police said they had not yet made any arrests or established a motive for the shooting.
NYPD data shows that shootings in the 32nd Precinct where Sunday’s incident took place are up 16.7% through the week ending on June 14 compared to the same period last year. The precinct tallied seven shootings through the week ending on June 14, 2026, compared to six shootings at the same time last year.
