A 111-year-old man disappeared from his Brooklyn home on Thursday for nearly nine hours, but he's OK! He just went by himself to Duane Reade, a perfectly acceptable activity for anyone who isn't 111-years-old.

According to the Post, "spry centenarian Ernest Peronneau" (A+) hopped on the B38 bus near his home in Clinton Hill, disembarking near Fulton Street and Gallatin Place and entering a neighborhood Duane Reade around 4:40 p.m. Employees saw "the elderly man" and called 911 after determining he looked disoriented. Peronneau was taken to Long Island College Hospital and is under evaluation.

Peronneau was probably born in 1903, the same year that George Orwell was born and that the first Model A was produced. The New Yorker had a fantastic article on aging last week, though its author is only a measly 93, a solid 18 years younger than our hero.

Efforts to find Ernest Peronneau on Facebook were unsuccessful.
