West Siders? It is almost your turn to curse the MTA for a few nights! That's right, the second round of the MTA's consecutive weeknight subway closures (a.k.a. FASTTRACK) is almost upon us—and this time the 1, 2 and 3 lines get the pleasure of shutting down below 34th Street, Monday through Friday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. So if you were planning on taking the train back uptown after a nice romantic Village Valentine's dinner, well...be prepared to cab it home, because platforms are going to start closing before 10 p.m. But, hey! Progress!

Be prepared!
At least, unlike the last FASTTRACK, the West Side has a few other lines serving its riders. So, you've been warned (and don't worry, we'll remind you again).
Wait, your line has yet to experience the glory that is FASTTRACK? Never fear! After the 1, 2, 3 gets its love next week the MTA has plans to do the same thing for the B, D, F and M trains between 60th and West 4th from February 20—24. And then the A, C and E get its love from March 12—16 when they cut off service between 59th Street and Jay Street in Brooklyn.
