Forget The Rides: Check Out These Disney World Foods


Flame Tree Barbecue in the Animal Kingdom specializes in barbeque, and the BBQ chicken has crispy, to-die-for skin and juicy meat. There's also pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, and turkey legs plus sides like beans and coleslaw. For dessert, creamy Key Lime Mousse Cup or Chocolate Mousse are on the menu. Adults, maybe the Mandarin Orange Vodka Lemonade? Best part of dining at the Flame Tree is the outdoor dining area with their Circle of Life theme, which has one of the most gorgeous views.<br>


The possible successor to the <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/28/business/media/disneys-newest-star-turkey-leg-wins-hearts-and-stomachs.html">popular turkey leg</a>: The pork shank at Gaston's. Seasoned with salt and pepper then slowly roasted, the tender meat falls off the bone with each bite. To drink, have LeFou's Brew, a foamy no-sugar added frozen apple juice with toasted marshmallow topped with all-natural passion fruit-mango foam. <br>



Sometimes adults need a special frozen treat too! This lemon slushie, made with Grey Goose vodka, is a signature cocktail treat at Disneyworld. At Epcot, you can find the Les Vins des Chefs de France kiosk outside the France pavilion. The Grand Marnier Slush and the Grey Goose Slush sit side by side so it'll be hard just to choose one. <br/>


Who doesn't love a freshly made waffle? Sleepy Hollow in the Magic Kingdom serves breakfast and dessert waffles made on the spot. Choose flavors like fruit, Prosciutto, and Swiss and Nutella Strawberry flavors. The most popular is the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich, which is stuffed with boneless fried chicken and mixed with coleslaw stuffed between a folded waffle. The $6.99 waffle is huge and can feed two people! They also have latte ice cream floats that will wake you up fast!<br>


The Rose and Crown Pub and Dining Room is a cozy pub that has your favorite British comfort foods. The well-seasoned fish and chips boasts an extremely crispy batter skin, and other favorites include Bangers & Mash, Mushy Peas, Bubble and Squeak and Yorkshire pudding. <br/><br/>The drink menu is extensive, with brews, ciders, cognacs, and scotches. Another highlight: The back patio, which offers one of the best views of the fireworks from the World Showcase Lagoon.<br/>



Want to get authentic fish and chips on a small budget? Walk a few steps past the Rose and Crown Pub and Dining Room and line up at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop at Epcot. This tiny kiosk serves up crispy fish and chips, served up in a newsprint wrapper for only $8.99. It's the cheapest place in the park to get fish and chips. <br>


Dawa Bar is a hidden gem that is tucked into an easy to miss corner of the Harambe Village in the Africa section of the Animal Kingdom. There is a full menu of specialty cocktails, beers, sangrias and wines—both domestic and imported from Africa. Dawa's drinks are very strong. One of their most popular drinks is the Sugar Cane Mojito. Other popular specialty cocktails include the African Margarita, Dawa Colada, Harambe Cooler, and the Lost on Safari. <br/>


Be Our Guest is the park's most coveted restaurant, and fine dining dinner reservations are hard to come by. Luckily, patrons can go to the Beast's castle a delectable quick service lunch—pork braised for eight hours and a carved prime chuck roast beef baguette sandwich with horseradish sour cream and pommes frites. The must-order dessert is The Master's Cupcake: Chocolate sponge cake topped with Lumiere's special "Grey Stuff" from "Beauty and the Beast."<br/>


Cheshire Cafe is a tiny shop located in Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland right next to the teacups ride. If you have a sweet tooth, then their White Chocolate Cheshire Cake Cups is a must-get. You've had a cake. You've had a cupcake. At Cheshire Cafe you can have a cake cup! The cup lets is filled with multiple layers of both white chocolate cake and icing. If you're thirsty, Cheshire Café also makes a mean Raspberry Lemonade Slush.<br/>


L'Artisan des Glaces in Epcot's France has 16 flavors of ice cream and sorbet that can be turned into delicious ice cream martinis. Patrons can choose to top their sweets with a dose of Grand Marnier, imported Rhum from Martinique, or Whipped Cream flavored Vodka! How can you go wrong with your favorite sweets and alcohol? <br/>


.The most popular snack at Disneyland is their Pineapple Dole Whip, but at Aloha Isle in Disney World, Dole Whip comes in multiple flavors you can't find at Disneyland. The original Dole Whip uses soft-serve Pineapple Sorbet, which you can never go wrong with, but if you want to try something different, they also have Orange Cream Ice Cream, and Vanilla Ice Cream Dole Whips for under $5.



Located in Epcot's Italy Pavilion, Via Napoli offers authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas. The three gigantic ovens are named after volcanoes in Italy, and there are colorful frescoes of different places in Italy. You can create your own pizza or order from the menu. This is the Capricciosa (sauce, eggplant, artichokes, ham, mushrooms, mozzarella) and the Quattro Formaggi white pizza (mozzarella, Parmesan, fontina, provolone). Don't forget to grab a cannoli martini or an Italian beer.<br/>


If you love French desserts and snacks, don't forget to stop by Les Halles Bakery in Epcot. From eclairs, to crème brulee, macarons, and sandwiches, the pastries are so authentic you'll feel like you're on an arrondissement.<br/>


If you're not in the mood for anything too filling, make sure to pick up one of the most tempting creations known to man: Bacon Cheddar Popcorn. Prepare for your taste buds to be coated with savory cheese and bacon goodness with every bite.<br>


If your sweet tooth is nudging you, then head on over to Sweet Spells in Hollywood Studios to get your fix. Sweet Spells sells your favorite character-inspired sweets like gigantic cookies, and even Jelly Belly Jelly Beans in popcorn flavor. Candied/caramel/chocolate dipped apples, Mickey Mouse shaped rice crispy treats dipped in chocolate, and Mickey macarons are just some of the picture-worthy, delectable offerings they carry.<br/>


Disney World always pulls out all the stops for new films and special events. For Star Wars Weekend, Disneyworld did special Star Wars-themed alcoholic drinks and cupcakes for the occasion. Can you say no to a Chocolate and Nutella Cupcake topped with a White Chocolate Yoda or a 'The Force' or 'The Dark Side' cocktail with a glow cube. <br/>


One of the most prized and filling snacks at Disneyworld is their Mickey-shaped soft pretzels that can be found throughout the park. Eat it with salt in its original form or dip it in cheese or chocolate sauce. <br/>
