The first ever "professional" dreidel league will host its debut matches in Williamsburg on Dec. 12 — the second day of Hanukkah. League founder Eric Harris Pavony tells the paper: “MLD validates the dreidel as a bona-fide sport — and its elite are recognized and respected like professional athletes. However, they are paid in chocolate money.”
