If the answer to the above question is yes, then head to SoHo to try one of five new burger-topped salads at Black Tap, a new burger and craft beer joint that debuts tonight on Broome Street. The narrow eatery is really more of a gastropub, with a long roll of stools pulled up to a long bar, behind which bartenders pour 16 draft beers from the titular black taps. On the opposite wall, framed paintings of popular burger pairings like cans of Coors and bottles of sriracha.

In continuing with the trend of chefs getting into the fast casual game, Michelin-starred chef Joe Isidori—who spent many years cooking for Donald Trump (we forgive him)—griddles up patties made from Pat LaFrieda meats like the All-American Burger ($14) with the usual veggies plus American cheese and a special sauce to the Steak Au Poivre Burger ($16) topped with blue cheese and served with a crock of green peppercorn sauce.

Even the salads get burgers here, like their signature Black Tap Burger Salad ($15), a gluten-free dream of an American cheese-topped beef burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, scallions and a few slices of bacon. There's plenty for vegetarians, too, including a Falafel Burger ($12) with greek feta, pickled onion, hummus and tahini, which can also be ordered in salad form.

To wash it all down, there are also cans of beer like Sixpoint, Pork Slap and Narragansett or sodas including Boylans varieties and Mexican Fanta, Coke and Sprite. But for true gut busting glory, one must get a Milkshake ($6) made with Battenkill Valley Creamery milk products. Dulce Leche, Oreo Cookies & Cream, Vanilla, Strawberry, U Bet Chocolate or Nutella—your choice!
