Have you ever wondered what happens to all of that delicious, processed snack food that doesn't make it to your local grocery store? Where do the misshapen, malformed foods go? It seems they go to Entenmann's Bakery Outlet on Flatbush Avenue between Avenue R and Fillmore Avenue in Marine Park, where they sell all the Entenmann's products that can't be sold in stores.

“Seventy to 80 percent [of the stock] was mis-baked,” manager Shawn Jackson told the Post. “There’s not enough sugar, it’s overweight or underweight, there’s too much icing or not enough icing. And we can’t sell it in the stores because of defects.” Just because it's defective, though, doesn't mean it isn't delicious: the Post finds real people who testify to the holy goodness of the mutilated factory treats. “Supermarkets don’t have much selection. Here you have your cheesecake and donuts and Madeleines and Pop’ems. I go there twice a week,” said Donna Jastow.

If you're as much of an Entenmann's lover as her, you can show your appreciation by sending a loved one an Entenmann's e-card, or by befriending Entenmann's on everyone's favorite relevant social network, Friendster (about me: "it's like heroine (sic)..but you don't need a spoon for me.") !
