The thing in the drinks business these days seems to be canning cocktails. Bud Light has its Lime-a-rita and now Kahlúa has gone and released three different canned iced coffees featuring the liqueur so popular with the kids. Because sometimes it is just too much hassle to mix things yourself, we guess?
The company is pushing the beverage as a chance to "leverage two strong and fast growing categories - single serve coffee and prepared cocktails—and offer the best of both in a convenient package for the on-the-go and socially ambitious consumer." Socially ambitious drinkers? Huh.
The new sips of booze come in 200ml "cans-to-go" (as opposed to cans-to-stay?) in three flavors: Kahlúa Iced Espresso, Kahlúa Iced Mocha and Kahlúa Cinnamon Spice. They'll be sold for $2.50 a pop or $9.99 for a four-pack. When it comes to these kinds of drinks we think we'd still prefer they bring back the original flavor Four Loko, but what can you do! And who are we to judge, the last time we had Kahlúa was a fateful night we'd still like to forget from our underage days. Meanwhile, how long till the young 'uns start mixing these pre-mixed drinks with chocolate milk? Cause that is so going to happen.
