Last year's crowd (Gothamist)
Last year the Great GoogaMooga was greatly disappointing for vegetarians, especially those who paid for ExtraMooga passes and were offered almost no options. The weekend-long food and music fest returns on May 17th, and they've just released the menus for the vendors this year, so we pulled out our artisanal abacus and did some counting. There are 12 vegetarian options (not including desserts), and of those three of them are Margherita Pizza slices... and one is literally bread and butter. In comparison, there are 48 meat offerings (the full vegetarian list is below, and every menu can be viewed here).

Grilled Cheese and Kimchi are some of the vegetarian options
Beechers: "World's Best Mac and Cheese" for $10 (made with Flagship, Just Jack, Penne, and Spices)
Calexico: Quesadilla for $11 (with roasted mushroom, goat cheese, sweet corn, and huitlacoche)
Caracas: La Mamasita (grilled wild mushrooms, roasted corn, Venezuelan chile "aji dulce", cotija cheese, sweet plantains and avocado). No price listed yet.
Gwynnett Street: Whiskey Bread with Cultured Butter and Assorted Spreads for $11
Little Muenster: Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with Gruyere for $10 (served with pickled caramelized onions and arugula)
Northern Spy Food Co.: The Egg Beggley Jr. for $10 (fried eggs, kale, potato hash, Chimichurri with pickled peppers and onions on a bun)
Pizzamoto: Wood-fired Slices for $5 (presumably some will be vegetarian)
Robertas: Margherita Pie for $9 (mozzarella, tomato, basil, olive oil)
Rosemarys: Vegetable Antipasti (brussels sprouts with balsamic mostarda; chickpeas with smoked onions and sundried tomatoes, spicy cabbage with pecorino and almonds). No price listed yet.
Seersucker: Black Eyed Pea Falafel for $10 (New York Argyle Yogurt and Benne Seeds)
South Brooklyn Pizza: Margherita Pizza for $5 (thin crust pizza, with fresh basil, San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella, fontina and grana padano topped with olive oil)
Willow Road: Charred Bean Salad for $8 (mustard seed, pepitas, smoked paprika)
But there's no reason why non-meat eaters should limit themselves to just 20% of the total food options. Vegetarians, just strap yourself to a chair and watch this educational video a few hundred times before the 17th and you'll expand your options to a whopping 61!
