Welcome back to our new Q&A feature, Culture Quest, where we're asking the same set of questions to some of the notables stopping by the 92nd Street Y. Below, we find out the culture habits of Tim Gunn, who will be there next Tuesday, March 31st.

Where do you get your news?
I subscribe to The New York Times, digitally. My fingers remain newsprint free.

What are your favorite websites?
Google, of course, plus OneKingsLane, Gilt, 1stDibs, and then I’m all over the place.

What book are you currently reading?
Augustus: First Emperor of Rome, by Adrian Goldsworthy. I can’t put it down.

What magazines do you subscribe to?
Print: New York Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and Vanity Fair.
Digital: The New Yorker, Domino, Elle Décor, House Beautiful, HGTV Magazine, and Food Network Magazine.

What’s your favorite current TV show?
Bates Motel. I’ve been addicted since season one.

What’s the last movie you saw?
In a theater? The Lego Movie.
At home? Blue Jasmine.

What’s the last performance (dance, opera, theater) you attended? It’s Only A Play, by Terrence McNally and starring Matthew Broderick, Martin Short, and Stockard Channing. I left at intermission...

What’s the last music purchase you made?
A Sonos home sound system with corresponding music download subscriptions. It’s life changing!

What’s your favorite piece of art in your home?
It’s a 19th C. oil painting of a landscape. I found it in a flea market in London for 20 pounds. The proprietor said, “Not a bad price for the frame.” I replied, “Actually, I like the painting.” He commented under his breath, “Bloody Americans.”

What place in NYC (landmark, museum, or neighborhood) are you embarrassed to admit you’ve never visited?
I can’t get enough of this great city, so not much escapes me! I recently checked the Morris-Jumel Mansion off my list. But I still haven’t been to the Skyscraper Museum.

What are you most excited about right now?
Harnessing unbridled self-promotion: my new book! That and spring—please come!

Join Tim Gunn for Fern Mallis’s Fashion Icons series at 92Y on March 31st.
