February is over, March is here and you know that means? Fare hikes! Also St. Patrick's parades! Lots and lots of St. Patrick's parades. While most places in the world celebrate the holiday once, often on March 17, here in New York City we've got such a large Irish-identifying population that March is essentially St. Patrick's Month. Wanna get in on the fun? Once again we've got all your St. Pat's festivities for you right here:

Tomorrow, Saturday, March 2nd the 38th Annual Queens County St. Patrick's Day Parade will be marching in Rockaway Beach. The fun starts at 1 p.m. at Beach 129th Street and Newport Avenue and then marches down Rockaway Beach Boulevard to the reviewing stand on Beach 105th. A little too formal for you? No worries, from 1 a.m. on the 2nd Annual "Lepre-Con" will be going down in Hoboken. Think of it as Santacon, but greener. You can track the event, a response to the cancellation of the notorious parade there, over on Twitter.

The next day, Sunday, March 3rd, the lovely St. Pat's For All Parade in Queens will once again be showing some other St. Patrick's parades we won't mention how it is done by letting folks from all walk so of life march. The parade will assemble at 12:30 p.m. and kick-off at 2 p.m. at Skillman Avenue at 47th Street. It ends at Woodside Avenue and 58th Street. And if you aren't done with the holiday by then, the annual post-parade party will be at Saints & Sinners at 60th Street and Roosevelt Avenue.

After that much St. Patrick's you'll probably want a tiny break from Irish luck. Well, the weekend of the 9th is your chance. Almost. If you simply must (and you must?), the Eastchester Irish-American Social Club is their 9th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday, March 10th. Or you can head to the 15th Annual Throggs Neck St. Patrick's Day Parade and Celebration which starts at noon at East Tremont and Lafayette Avenues and then goes down East Tremont to Harding Avenue before ending at Brinsmade Avenue.

Well, we hope you enjoyed you almost break from the Irish, because the next weekend is when the big stuff gets going! To start, on Saturday, March 16th Manhattan hosts the biggest St. Pat's celebration of them all when the 252nd New York City Saint Patrick's Day Parade marches down Fifth Avenue. Why isn't it actually on the actual holiday this year? Due to religious observations. Not that those observations are holding back the fine folk on Staten Island who, for the first time in a decade, will be hosting their parade (which we always like to call Staten Paten) on March 17th, the big day itself. The parade and all that comes with it starts at noon at Hart Boulevard and Forest Avenue. There will be beer.

And wait! The fun isn't over yet! On Saturday, March 23rd Woodlawn is having its second annual McLean Avenue St. Patrick's Day Parade starting at 1 p.m. in Yonkers. And then on Sunday, March 24th, Bay Ridge has its own 19th Annual St. Patrick's Parade starting at 1 p.m. and running down Third Avenue from Marine Avenue to 67th Street. And then on Saturday, March 30th Gerritsen Beach hosts its 4th Annual parade which starts at 1 p.m. at the corner of Gerritsen and Whitney Avenues.

Thank goodness we stocked up on our green gear early.
