This Sunday on Showtime (though the episode is available On Demand now), Pat Kiernan will stray far from his NY1 desk for a cameo on Nurse Jackie. While the beloved news anchor has turned up in plenty of TV shows and movies in the past, he's usually still on NY1 in those cameos. This time we get off-camera Pat, but, you know, on camera.
Kiernan told us this morning over email, "This was the toughest of the dozens of 'as himself' roles I've done, because I was out of my NY1 comfort zone. It was their story on their set." He also added this SPOILER: "At one point the script called for me to change into a hospital gown on camera. I was grateful that we didn't end up shooting that exactly as scripted, although I do end up in a hospital gown by the end of the episode."
As Kiernan notes on his website, in the above clip you'll also see Stephen Wallem, who will be his guest co-host on his 77WABC radio show today at 5 p.m.
