When The CW announced its fall lineup this past week, it confirmed it had picked up the series, The Carrie Diaries, based on Candace Bushnell's novel about Carrie Bradshaw's pre-Sex and the City life. We'll have to wait until January to see young Carrie traipsing around 1984 New York City, but here's an early look at the show—check out the Madonna reference!
