If you told me that Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Robert De Niro were all getting together to do a project, I'd be throwing lobsters all over the place. The idea of seeing Scorsese's two great muses/cinematic avatars together in one of his films—with the added bonus of a possible De Niro renaissance—could make even a paranoid coke binge seem like a fun time.

But instead of Scorsese, DiCaprio and De Niro doing a film together, we'll have to settle for Scorsese in Mastercard/AT&T Spokesman mode, Mid-Period Jack Nicholson With A Pony Tail, and The Artist Formerly Known As Robert De Niro doing an ad for...a hotel. It's better to be king of a resort casino for a night than schmuck for a lifetime, right?

Because this is Scorsese, the ad is really well made, and it's fun to see De Niro doing a scowl showdown with DiCaprio (even if the latter is really looking a bit...bloated). If we squint, we can almost pretend that it IS a short rom-com-heist film about a movie star being interrupted during his desperate quest to find his harem of models in an exotic foreign country.

There's also a quick cameo of mustachioed Brad Pitt around the :08 second mark. Which makes us wonder: would you rather see a Scorsese/DiCaprio/De Niro team up, or a Pitt/Ryan Gosling/Christian Bale one? Because that is apparently happening.
