Last night, Sir Elton John hosted Saturday Night Live, while also taking a turn as the musical guest with Leon Russell (who was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame). He made jokes about being gay, being a new father, and his past troubles with alcoholism during his monologue ("So far the baby really takes after me; he screams and cries when he doesn't get his way, and he's had his ups and downs with the bottle.") and admitted his black suit was more subdued, but promised he'd be dressed "more fabulous" as the show wore on. The show also got some star-studded cameos—Tom Hanks was in a number of sketches, Jake Gyllenhaal was on Weekend Update, Carmelo Anthony dressed in drag, and Will Forte returned for an ESPN Classic segment. Click through to watch sketches, such as the Laser Cats Digital Short, Elton John dealing with a mean Queen Elizabeth, John and Leon Russell's performances and more.
