There are so, so many reasons why Bruce BROOOOOCE Springsteen is the best: he anonymously busks, he's not ashamed to make jazzercise dance tapes, he crashes people's engagement photos, he's written 10 or 12 of the greatest rock 'n' roll songs of all time, he has a sense of humor about himself, and he still puts on the best live shows period. Now, you can add chugging a fan's beer in the middle of a song to that list:

The chugging happened in the middle of euphoric encore performance of "Raise Your Hand" during Wednesday night's show in Philadelphia. And look at those fans: nobody sets middle-aged women's hearts on fire like The Boss! Backstreets.com has this account of the moment:

In the encore, "Raise Your Hand" had Bruce venturing back out again, stepping off Soozie's side and heading up into the stands, across armrests and into the middle of the section and declaring there was something he wanted, something he needed: "I need a seat!" And then, "I need a nice seat! And I need a beer!" The people obliged, and while Bruce was mostly lost from view, he clearly got what he needed. Tossing the empty cup, he said to the band, "Be right with ya!" Soon back on stage, "That beer was good!"

During a show last week, Springsteen also performed "American Skin (41 Shots)"—the 2000 song about the death of Amadou Diallo—and gave it a very specific dedication: "This is for Trayvon." He had also performed the protest song in Tampa last week. Watch that performance below:
