Not to be outdone by Gwyneth Paltrow, who only saved one woman's life on 9/11, actor Mark Wahlberg has now told Men's Journal that he could have stopped 9/11 from ever happening! Actor Mark Wahlberg needs to stop reading so many movie scripts!
Apparently he was scheduled to be on one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center towers that day, and said in the interview:
"If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’”
And then the guy who does the voiceover narrations for Michael Bay movie trailers would have come on over the plane's loudspeaker and offered everyone some chamomile tea. [via Videogum]
UPDATE: Of course, now Mark Wahlberg says, "To suggest I would have done anything differently than the passengers on that plane was irresponsible. To speculate about such a situation is ridiculous to begin with. I deeply apologize to the families of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive, it was certainly not my intention." He then added, "Say Hi to your mother for me, okay?"
