Here's your heads up that the 5th Annual Panorama Challenge is coming up at the Queens Museum of Art, on Friday, February 10th (at 7 p.m.). If you haven't attended in the past, here's what to expect:
- A free beer from Brooklyn Brewery!
- Teams of 10 (or so) competing in a trivia-based game testing their knowledge of NYC geography.
- More beers! But you'll have to purchase those.
- Laser-wielding assistants helping out by highlighting various NYC landmarks, bridges, neighborhoods parks and more—their laser skills will be accompanied by an audio clue.
- Free shuttle! Because you shouldn't drive after all those beers.
If you want to see what you're up against, you can practice over at Google maps, where someone mapped out last year's clues and answers. And if you participate, please remember: just because Michelle Pfeiffer walked on this panorama in the movie New Year's Eve, doesn't mean you can.
