The West Side is getting a new outdoor venue this summer on Pier 97, thanks to a little help from Live Nation. The Hudson River Park pier—which will host a JBL Live at Pier 97 concert series—is a stone's throw away from Terminal 5, located off the West Side Highway at West 57th Street.

According to Billboard, the capacity is 6,000, which means you'll be getting some bigger names. Or just, names you are familiar with from your past. The Fray will kick things off on July 9th, followed by 311 on July 19th. 311! THE 311! This 311:
Tough act to follow, but Live Nation kept on bookin': The Soulshine Tour with Michael Franti and Spearhead will take over the pier on July 21st, Robyn and Röyksopp’s Do It Again Tour on August 20th, and more shows to be announced. Tickets for the aforementioned will go on sale this Friday at noon.
