Black Veil Brides, who made Kiernan "think of Motley Crue and 80’s sleaze metal bands with their swagger, moves, leather, tattoos and attitude. The music was heavy and more modern than hair metal but I kept thinking of the Guns ‘n’ Roses and the Sunset Strip while they were playing – in a good way. The crowd went apeshit over these dudes."

Reel Big Fish: Kiernan says they were the "Most Fun Band/My New Best Friend"—"Aaron Barrett from Reel Big Fish is the walking embodiment of the life of the party. He was visual and funny, their Ska/Punk songs were bouncy and super catchy and their lyrics were hilarious. This guy is my new best friend although he probably doesn’t even know it yet – pretty sure that’s how most of the people watching this band felt."
