The Jazz Age Lawn Party returned to Governors Island this past weekend, bringing New Yorkers decked out in 1920s gear over to the out-of-this-era oasis. Photographer Sai Mokhtari was there to capture the boas, the fringed frocks, and fedoras—click through for a look.
It's truly one of the greatest annual events in NYC, and luckily there's another chance to experience it in August. Tickets are still available for their final two parties, with prices ranging from $35 to $5,000—that kind of Gatsby-level extravagance never ends well, though, so buyer beware. We maintain that the cheap seats are all you really need to enjoy this one.
