Yesterday the Museum of the City of New York announced that they've been digitizing over 1,200 recently acquired photographs by Edmund V. Gillon, mostly taken in the 1970s (though some are from the '80s). Going through the collection we noticed a lot of familiar buildings, which means a lot of these places are still standing today... even if most look a little worse for the wear, or have become storefronts or luxury apartments. Click through for a look at 14 different locations around Manhattan that look the same today as they did in the 1970s.
