Recently the quaint, desolate neighborhood of Williamsburg was put on the map by an Urban Outfitters Mall, where promises of a better lifestyle await you. But the five floor complex is about to get out-normcored by another big name in the biz: J. Crew.
The King of Khaki. The Pricey Purveyor Of Prep-wear. The Only Store You Need To Hit Up Before Summering On Nantucket. It's coming to Wythe and North 4th, solidifying Williamsburg's status as the Next "That Strip Of 5th Avenue Near Union Square, With The Pier One And Anthropologie."
According to Crain's, the retailer "is arranging to take a single story warehouse building at 234-236 Wythe Ave. near the corner of North 4th Street."
That's not all: Apple is rumored to be eyeing a 242 Bedford Avenue space (we reached out to Apple regarding this, and will update if we hear back)—but maybe they should consider the much hipper Bay Ridge, which is "the new Williamsburg"?
