It's time again for everyone's favorite Valentine's Day tradition, second only to getting drunk and rubbing your partner down with oatmeal (...right?): A visit to the Newtown Creek digester eggs.

This is the fourth year the DEP has hosted the wildly popular events, in which off-kilter couples and other assorted weirdos can learn about the the sludgy creek's wastewater treatment process, including "details about how the Newtown Creek Plant will soon be the first in the nation to purify biogas into renewable natural gas which will heat nearly 5,200 homes and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 90,000 metric tons each year- the equivalent of removing nearly 19,000 cars from the road." Sexxxxy!

The department has already received hundreds of inquiries about the tours, which will be held on on February 14th at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., so register here ASAP if you're interested in snagging a spot.
