It's been at least a fifteen minutes since someone on the Internet made a joke about hipsters and Brooklyn, so now is as good a time as ever to rile the bespectacled bike-riding masses. Comedy group Above Average made this amusing video parodying the Settlers of Catan—a strategic board game about colonists that I was almost forced to play at a dinner party once before I quietly crept out—using Brooklyn hipsters for fodder. Behold:

Parody is best when it strikes at real truth, and though some lines here are amusing—the realtor card used "to move existing residents out of the neighborhood so they can make more room for colonization" is some good work—we can't help but notice that some of the jokes are pretty outdated. Skinny jeans? Kale? Plaid scarves?

Where are the J. Crews and baby lambs that make up the Brooklyn we share on social media today?
