Fleet Week has swept into the city and brought some absolutely perfect weather along for the ride. There are tons of events going on all across the city all weekend—check out more info below. Yesterday, members of the United States Coast Guard Silent Drill Team, based in Alexandria, Va., performed their Silent Drill for onlookers in Times Square. Check out a video of it below:

The annual event, which has been a NY tradition since 1984, will be in town till Wednesday. You can see a full listing of the events here, but some highlights include:


  • On Sunday, U.S. Marine Corps Marine Air Ground Task Force Demonstration at Corona Park in Queens and Playland in Rye.

  • On Sunday, Military Bands will be in Times Square between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

  • On Monday and Tuesday, there will be a Navy Flight Simulator at Pier 88, Manhattan, from 8:30 a.m. till 5 p.m.

  • On Monday, there will be a U.S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue Demonstration at Hudson River near Piers 86 & 88 in Manhattan, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
