This morning Dina Lohan appeared on Good Morning America and didn't do the best job of reassuring the nation that her oldest meal ticket daughter wouldn't be going to jail. She declared on national television: "I'm not convinced about anything. The system is the system. I'm a firm believer in the system. Anything can happen, especially in that town. God willing she won't go back to jail."

The Daily News accuses her of faltering, and cutting George Stephanopolous "off mid-sentence to steer the interview back to Lindsay's progress." She also wants everyone to stop talking about the dress, and to stop comparing her daughter to Charlie Sheen (though Lindsay recently enlighted him with some advice of her own).

Lohan's next court date is Wednesday, which will also address her felony grand theft case, for which she faces up to 3 years in prison, with the possibility of more for violating her probation.
