Apparently nobody told the folks at the Foxwoods Theater that Whiplash is one of Iron Man's villains, not Spider-Man's. Either way, whiplash is what appears to have taken down actress T.V. Carpio, who last week reportedly hurt her neck in an onstage battle during Spider-Man: Love Never Dies Turn Off The Dark. To recuperate, Carpio will be out of the show for the next two weeks—coming back to the boards just in time for a few more life-threatening performances before the show takes its scheduled hiatus.

Carpio, you may recall, replaced Natali Mendoza in the role of Arachne after the latter had her own physical problems with the production. Also? Cario has a bit role in last weekend's number one movie, Limitless.

And, this being Spider-Man, the lead actress taking a two week hiatus isn't even the biggest headache for producers going. That would probably be Julie Taymor who, despite being unceremoniously kicked to the curb earlier this month, still has not worked out the details of her exit with producers. Which means that now the unions are getting involved. "We want to ensure that the producers meet their obligations to Julie with respect to compensation, credit and use of artistic property," Laura Penn, executive director of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, told the Journal. "It hasn't been resolved...and there comes a time when it's time for your union to step in." Apparently now is that time.

But wait! There's more!

Yesterday the Post reported that the producers were cutting their webs with the show's choreographer, Daniel Ezralow, and instead pulling Chase Brock into the production. Unfortunately this was news to Ezralow who put out a release last night to that end: "As far as I know I am the choreographer and aerial choreographer of Spider-Man. The producers have not addressed any change in my status officially, and they are happily using my choreography on the ground and in the air every night at the Foxwoods Theatre."

When we contacted the producers all they would say about the status of the show's choreography was that "the production is not commenting on speculation. There have been no additions to the creative team."
