Catherine Keener, Sally Hawkins Sign On To Charlie Kaufman's FX Pilot 'How And Why'

Since the new year, sporadic and high-profile casting news has been leaking out regarding Charlie Kaufman's new half-hour comedy pilot for FX, How and Why: first, it was Michael Cera and John Hawkes, and yesterday it was announced that Catherine Keener and the lately-ubiquitous Sally Hawkins have joined the show.

Both have signed on for the pilot, but their respective roles have been kept mum. However, if the show is picked up, Variety reports, Hawkins would be a regular and Keener a guest star.

Filming will begin sometime next month in North Carolina, which coincides with the annual Tribeca Film Festival, where the Kaufman-penned Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind will be screened in honor of the film's 10th anniversary.
