Broad City returned at last this week with its usual slew of plotlines that so deftly address the horrors and wonders of living in this godforsaken urban jungle. Abbi and Ilana packed a whole host of NYC-centric references in 21 minutes, but Ilana's hunt for a safe place to pee seems practically ripped from Gothamist's headlines. Perhaps she missed my star turn on the Fox 5 evening news?

Tragically, there's no specific bathroom hunt-clip, but you can watch the whole episode on Comedy Central's website. If you want a snippet, Ilana gets bathroom-rejected at a snooty brunch spot and warehouse sale, a cop stops her from peeing on the street, and a Port-A-Potty gets carried off (with Abbi inside) before she can relieve herself.

This seems like old news, of course, but this city really does have a dearth of public bathrooms—we compiled a list of the best places to pee last year, but they are still few and far between.

Adventures in Bladdersitting aside, other NYC-centric topics tackled this week include what to do when you lose your bike lock, the insufferable gallery art scene, and TOILET RAT. Or at least, a rat, though I prefer to think this one rose from the depths of Ilana's very unclean toilet bowl.
