Yesterday was Purim, the annual holiday commemorating the deliverance of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian Empire from destruction in the wake of a plot by Haman, royal vizier to King Ahasueru and would-be Jew killer. The festivities in ultra-Orthodox South Williamsburg involved the usual merriment and masquerading, as well as massive party buses and cold hard cash for the kids. Check out these exclusive photos of the Purim street style from G. David Gottdenger.
